Most disc golf is played as random doubles on a weeknight, which is the format these names are mostly built for. You get paired with somebody you have never met, you have about ninety seconds to agree on a name before the card goes in, and it needs to be funny on the first read because nobody is explaining it.
Club rounds and PDGA-sanctioned play are a different job. There the name sits on a scorecard and a bag tag all season, and the flight-number vocabulary is worth leaning on — speed, glide, turn and fade are printed on every disc, so a name built from an anhyzer, a hyzer flip or a spike is instantly legible to anyone holding one.
